We booked a week's tour through Angara Tours and Travel from Entebbe through Bwindi Forest up to Fort Portal. Mr Obedgiu Francis provided everything we could have hoped for .... and more. Hotels, food, and transportation where outstanding. Francis worked to keep our trip within our budget while providing us with the best experiences possible. And here is the biggest thing - Francis can be trusted. You know when you book a tour with someone half way across the world, you never know what you are getting yourself into? So you are cautious? It's expected. Don't be concerned about Francis. He is transparent about charges. He is honest, and responsible. I will have great memories of Uganda because of the service that Francis provided.
One thing I love about most ugandans we met is that they don't try to scheme and extort money by overcharging. We were travelling on a budget and really wished to have a nice safari experience. Luckily,our resort manager connected us to Angara tours which was perfect for our budget. Our guide was a very pleasant and knowledgeable man named Francis, who grew up in pakwach, so he knew the importance of respect for the wild. We learned so much from him during our safari and we were super lucky to have spotted a family of lions on our first attempt! If you wish to have a tour operator who is very chill, experienced and knows how to give their guests some privacy and space when needed, francis with angara tours is your guy!
