9 Days Ziwa and Kidepo

Rhinos, Cheetahs, Elephants, Hiking, Source of the Nile

This Journey will take you through Northern and Eastern Uganda. Northern Uganda is well Known for the 20 Years insurgency of the Rebels of Lord’s Resistance Army. It is after the Rhino tracking that you will drive straight up North into Gulu town. This town was Known as the war capital. Kids commuted and stayed on the streets of Gulu town during the war. This was in order to escape a forceful and possible abduction and consequent forceful recruitment into the rebel army Headed by Joseph Kony. After Northern Uganda you will head to the North East towards Kenya and South Sudan Boarder into Kidepo Valley National park. This park is known as the true Savanna park of Africa. Here you can see the Cheetahs and Lions attacking their prey in an open space. After here you will head down to the Eastern part of Uganda taking another walk and hikes in the Mount Elgon and Mount Moroto near the Border with Kenya. Winding it down at the source of the Nile for a beautiful relaxation is what you will be looking forward to. River Nile in The longest River in Africa. Lots of Activities in Jinja includes Bungee jumping, Rafting, Horse riding. Here you can also visit the local market and do a little shopping.


Terms and Conditions


Day 1

Pick up from Hotel in Entebbe, Kampala or Jinja. Check in at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to see the Rhinos in the wild. Take lunch and track the Rhinos in the afternoon. Overnight stay follows


Day 2

After breakfast drive straight to Gulu, have lunch in Gulu and head to Kitgum. Overnight stay in Kitgum.


Day 3

In the morning after breakfast, go to see the painted rocks. Drive to Kidepo valley national Park in Kaabong district for an overnight stay.


Day 4

After breakfast, a game drive inside the Kidepo Valley National park is next. This drive gives you an ultimate African savanna wildlife experience. Get a chance to see the big Cats doing the live hunt for their prey. In the afternoon you will visit the Karamojong typical community and learn their way of life. Overnight stay.


Day 5

After breakfast drive to Sipi falls in Mt. Elgon via Kotido district. Overnight stay.


Day 6

Take a walk to the Sipi falls and climbing Mt Elgon. This activity is optional but meeting Margherita peak of Mt. Elgon is a once in a lifetime chance. This is the highest peak in Uganda. Overnight stay


Day 7

After breakfast, drive to Jinja. Check into the Hotel and take an oversight tour of Jinja town and source of the Nile and overnight stay.


Day 8

Relaxing along the Nile River from the Hotel gardens or rafting on the Nile are the options.


Day 9

Drive to Kampala or Entebbe after breakfast marks the end of the Safari.
